Mogerman, Cary J.
Cary J. Mogerman is a partner in the St. Louis, Missouri law firm of Zerman Mogerman LLC where his practice is limited to divorce law and related appellate practice. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a past-president of its Missouri Chapter, and a former chair of the Family Law Section of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. He has been included in the reference “The Best Lawyers in America,” for Family Law, since 1999 and was designated St. Louis’ “Family Law Attorney of the Year” by the same publication in 2009. He received the “Roger Krumm Family Law Award” (formerly known as the “Missouri Bar Family Law Practitioner of the Year” award) from the Missouri Bar in 2008. Since 2005, he has been listed as a Missouri “SuperLawyer” by Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers, and one of St. Louis’ “Top 50 SuperLawyers.” The same publication has included him among its “Top 100 SuperLawyers” in Missouri and Kansas since 2006. Mr. Mogerman was listed in Worth magazine as one of "The 100 Top Attorneys" in the United States serving the needs of affluent clients and their families in its December, 2007 edition. Mr. Mogerman was voted by his peers as among Missouri's best divorce attorneys in annual polls conducted by the legal newspaper Missouri Lawyers' Weekly (October 2007 and 2008) and is listed annually as one of St. Louis’ Best Lawyers for Family Law by St. Louis Magazine. In 1997, he received the “John C. Shepherd Professionalism Award” presented by the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. The award is presented annually to a lawyer “…who most exemplifies the tenets of professionalism of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.”
Mr. Mogerman is a graduate of Drake University and the Washington University School of Law. He has co-authored several articles on divorce law for legal journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the St. Louis Bar Journal. He has co-authored two chapters in the two-volume Missouri Bar CLE deskbook entitled Missouri Family Law, and is a frequent lecturer at family law continuing legal education seminars. He is a member of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association and the Missouri Bar, and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the St. Louis County Bar Association. He practices regularly in the County and City of St. Louis, and has also represented clients in the Missouri counties of Boone, Cole, Franklin, Jefferson, Lincoln, Perry, Pike, Platte, and St. Charles in his practice.
